On October 18, IM Motors officially announced its L7 Snake Performance full-electric sedan which is expected to launch later this year. The L7 Snake Performance is based on the current L7 on the Chinese market.

Established in December 2020, IM Motors was founded as a joint venture between SAIC, Alibaba, and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech. Its English brand name, ‘IM’, means Intelligence in Motion. Its Chinese name is Zhiji Motors (智己汽车).

The L7 Snake Performance adopts a matte gray body color. It retains the (∑) Epsilon-shaped daytime running lights, giving a distinctive light signature.

According to IM Motors, the L7 Snake Performance is equipped with IM Motors’ high-performance braking system, suspension system, and high-power drive systems.

Coming to the side, the car looks light and dynamic with its gently sculpted sides. For reference, the IM L7 has a dimension of 5098/1485/1960mm with a 3100mm wheelbase and a drag coefficient of 0.21cd.
IM Motors has not announced the IM L7 Snake Performance’s power data. As a reference, the IM L7 is available in two versions, Dynamic and Pro. Both versions come with all-wheel drive, with a 175kW (235hp) motor on the front axle and a 250kW (335hp) motor on the rear. Combined, they produce 725Nm of torque. The IM L7 has only one battery option, a 93kWh unit, which offers 615km (382 miles) of range on the NEDC cycle. Lastly, IM claims the L7 can hit 100kph from a standstill in 3.87 seconds.
