The BYD Seagull is a compact electric vehicle designed for urban commuting. It measures approximately 3780mm (length) * 1715mm (width) * 1540mm (height) with a wheelbase of 2500mm, offering spacious interior room. Powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum output of 70kW and a peak torque of 180N·m, it accelerates from 0 to 50km/h in just 3.9 seconds, making it ideal for city driving. The vehicle is equipped with BYD's Blade Battery technology, providing a battery capacity of around 40kWh and a range of up to 400km under CLTC conditions. It supports fast charging, reaching 80% charge in 30 minutes.
The interior features a minimalist and tech-savvy design, including a 10.1-inch rotating touchscreen, smart voice control, and OTA update capabilities. Safety features are comprehensive, with ABS, ESP, tire pressure monitoring, and a rearview camera. It also offers L2-level driving assistance, such as ACC adaptive cruise control and AEB automatic emergency braking, enhancing both safety and convenience. The suspension system combines a front MacPherson strut and a rear torsion beam, balancing comfort and handling.
At the same time, the updated BYD Seagull got new equipment. The most important highlight of this model is a surround-view camera system. The facelifted EV has cameras in the front bumper and side-view mirrors. The current variant of the car is offered with a rear-view camera only. Another important enhancement is the front parking radars.
